Neben der Lehrveranstaltung der VetMedUni konnten wir Traudl Grabherr und ihre Exkursionsgruppe im Rahmen des Netzwerkes Natur Tullnerfeld bei der Vogelberingung auf DER GARTEN TULLN begrüßen. Es ist faszinierend, mit welchem Enthusiasmus sie sich unermüdlich für die Artenvielfalt von Tieren und Pflanzen, aber auch als Identitätsstiftendes Element für die Bevölkerung des Tullnerfelds einsetzt. Ganz in diesem Sinne sieht sich ein weiterer Besucher, Christoph Kaufmann. Seine Agenden als VP-Abgeordneter im Niederösterreichischen Landtag liegen bei Wissenschaft und Forschung, Wirtschaft und Tourismus. Ganze 4 Stunden lang konnte er gemeinsam mit dem Geschäftsführer der GARTEN TULLN, Franz Gruber, bei den Kontrollgängen der Fangnetze, dem Beringen, dem Vermessen und Freilassen der lokalen Vögel unterstützen. Die Herausforderungen der Grundlagenforschung sind ihm nicht (mehr) fremd, wir hoffen auch weiterhin auf seine Unterstützung in der Niederösterreichischen Landesregierung!
In addition to the VetMedUni course, we were able to welcome Traudl Grabherr and her excursion group in the framework of the Network Nature Tullnerfeld at the bird ringing at DER GARTEN TULLN. It is fascinating to see the enthusiasm with which she tirelessly works for the biodiversity of animals and plants, but also as an identity-forming element for the population of the Tullnerfeld. Another visitor, Christoph Kaufmann, sees himself completely in this sense. His agendas as a VP member of the Lower Austrian parliament are science and research, economy and tourism. He was able to spend a whole 4 hours together with the managing director of GARTEN TULLN, Franz Gruber, assisting in the inspection of the trapping nets, ringing, measuring and releasing the local birds. He is no stranger (anymore) to the challenges of basic research, we hope for his continued support in the Lower Austrian government!
